Should underaged kids serve adult time for crimes

Please read the following and give me your opinios on acts like these. I'm not talking petty crimes here. I'm talking serious crimes that physically hurt people.

It blows my mind that the judge here scolded her when he should have had her in irons, to push the point, further.
We can't play paddy cake with these kids. They know what death is and those that are in gangs make a living off this stuff.

Depends on the situation. There's no black or white answer. The judge just needs to use his head and common sense.

If you give me a specific scenario I'll give you my opinion on what should happen.

She absolutely deserves to do adult prison time. And 6 years sounds good to me. Wake this girl up and yank her back down to reality.

I think the first question comes is 'why those kids go on like that?' can't they tolerate other's explaination first of all ! There remains hearing what others have to offer from their side. did they heard him ? From the story it dosen't seem so. And if the people are still wrong such extremities serve nothin better. Tit for tat - nope at all !

Punishments do not control pcychological mishaps before or later. If they aren't well address people will still do. Just think how many times a thief go into the prison ? No generalisation there, and fortunately some cases might show good results turning people better. And Yes but though can serve some example for others, if they know it ! that's important so what can be done ?

I'' look for parental guidance for such children in cases.. redress poor brought-up, nurturing, the behavioural ettiquettes and so forth, if lacking somewhere. The parents and the society can collectively offer probable decrement in such cases. And yes, not thinking of ideal society, it's far now, but can be better than what it is.

If the kid commits a crime on purpose that puts another life in danger or worse they should be treated like a adult. Commit a adult crime do the time like a adult.

Judge them all as adults no matter the crime,big or small.
If they get just a slap on the hand as children,they'll repeat the crimes as adults.
The results more devastating.
Perhaps the parents should be their cell mates for not being responsible.

Yep, yup, a very difficult debate. Young humans, that commit such crimes, should sit in a cell. On the other hand, you have to look at their upbringing. Did, said parents, give a crap, about this child? A human learns this behaviour, from someone!! (or something) I linked into quite a few of the other stories. Sad, very sad. We as humans, have to blame someone, or something. IT had to start somewhere. I would put my $$ on the parents. I also would put my $$, on society. Kids, these days, do not stand a chance in hell. They need one person, to teach them, compassion, intelligence, diversity. Parents also need to wake up and STOP pro-creating! (whew!) With respect to all!

To be ultimately fair, each case deserves psychological profiling of the circumstance to determine what is actually happening.

However, if it was up to me personally, I would say incarcerate them all. I hate wanna be gangsters and would love nothing more than to give them what they strive so hard to be. Truly in the "life". They're a waste of air in my opinion and would be cheaper to put them in prison than to clean up after their trashy lives on the street.

Yep, to be "ultimately fair," each child needs an evaluation. Who is going to pay for this? Nothing, we cannot incarcernate "them all". This country is closing prisons, left and right. I like your idea! (if it was up to you) who will pay for it? We are stuck, between a rock, and a very hard place. The link, Just gave us, this human needs to sit in a cell. What worries me, she will be a real threat, when she gets out. Where is the remorse? Where are her parents? (just asking)
