Speaking for myself the answer is no.
How about you?
That depends on what you consider to be a threat. It adds more competition to getting a job, so in a way, yes. On the other hand, women are entitled to the same opportunities as men, and sexism is an outdated concept. Today's women don't complacently go along with the tradition of listening to your father and husband and being a "housewife." Well, in most parts of the world, at least they don't. I don't feel threatened by women any more than by men.
Not even Spock could of said it better.

I'm quite confused at the choice of the word 'threat'. What are you implying women would do?
The fact of the manner is, Woman and Men have equal rights to education and jobs. The person who does better at their education and job succeed. It has nothing to do with gender.
Well as you may know there are a few individuals who egos are threaten when women are in a authoritative position(s).
There was a movie a few years ago is a good example. It stars Michael Douglas and Demi Moore.
Not to give the story away but in the movie,Michael's character was challenged by Demi's about getting a position that belongs to him.He was concerned about not getting that position but losing his present one...a threat.

I don't understand this. If we can say that successful women are a threat to men, would it be fair to say that Barack Obama and say that he's a threat to White America?
tishe you raised a interesting point...
Is there a specific agenda in the minds of folks ?
To or have control ?
Control is power correct ?
Men are threatened by women in control
Control is success...correct ?
Comments anyone ?

I'd like to see more women in politics than men because I think women have better organizing skills and are more peace oriented than male leaders. I think rednecks and people scared of change see any womens independence as threat.
life is what you make it
Please can you provide a source for this information? I'd be interested in seeing some evidence to back up your claims here.
I don't believe that women are a threat to men. I believe that some women are a threat to some men, but this is an individualist reaction not a brush that can be so widely painted accross the genders.
Sorry to say but this is not the case. One example is that women are not allowed to enter combat roles in the military.Originally Posted by MakeTeaNotWar
But in the global economy, women still suffer from sexist discrimination when salaries are concerned.

We are a long shot away from equal opportunity among the sexes.
But ofc what is my opinion? I think what some men fear is being immasculated by women, and that is where the threat comes from. Realistically, however, it shouldn't make a difference. As much as we want to praise our forward thinking society, sadly there is not much to praise in respects to the disparity between the sexes. Women may be a lot better off than they were 50 years ago, but that doesn't mean they're doing well when it comes to issues of gender that matter.
