This is a discussion on Avatar within the Suggestions, Feedback & Forum Help forums, part of the PTF's Policies, Announcements, and Support category; i put a gif image as my avatar but it won't play the gif, its just a frozen image.......

i put a gif image as my avatar but it won't play the gif, its just a frozen image....whats up with dat!!

yeah, it doesnt play avatars. ive tried before, doesn't work.

it CAN be done and yes, plenty of other forums have it. i just dont know why they dont play.

I have been trying to find a site with cool avatars but everyone has ones you have to pay for!

If the avatar is too large in size, the system will automatically reduce the image in size, which will break the animation. Try reducing the filesize. I will also increase the maximum allowed file size on our end. Try reuploading the same image again in a few minutes after I increase the size, and if that still doesn't work, you will need to reduce the image size.

how do i reduce the size of a gif image and keep it so it'll still play? its 119 x 94, so it just barely doesnt fit lol
