Recently I watched a documentary about fred Phelp's family.
personally, these people make me sick.
They took a sign of Princess Diana and said "She's a fag-lover. when she died. hell opened up just for her."
They brainwashed their kids into thinking this.
when asked by his mom, "What do we call someone who likes fags?"
The boy answered "A dyke?"

then the teenage girls who said "like" too much said "Everyone in our school dress like whores. Plain and simple. but we are god's soldiers. We do not lust or fornicate."
Yet, you could seriously see bra-stuffing.

Then they picketed a soldier's death.

They were also the people at Heath Ledger's funeral.

Then, on one protest, they went up to a synagogue and protested the "Jew Church" because the jews killed Jesus.

When the documentary maker told them he was gay, they said "Well, I'm sorry, (actually no I'm not.) but you're a filthy fag who is going to hell!"

I, personally feel sickened by this brainwashing. this intolerance and hatred has been handed down entirely through this family.

The funniest thing is that even though they're supposed christians, they swear at anyone who disagrees with them.One guy stops his car, says "Look. I don't agree with homoseuality, but people should be able to love. You can't go torturing people like-"
Then he got interrupted by a bitch going "YES YOU DO AGREE WITH IT. YOU LOVE IT. YOU FUCKING LOVE FAGS, DON'T YOU?! YOU MAKE ME SICK, FAG-LOVER!"

I think kids shouldn't have religion or religious beliefs thrown at them. They should get to choose what they will believe in and what they will accept as normal. Call yourself a soldier of god all you want, but Jesus wouldn't scream obscenities at people for being homosexual or thinking it is okay to be that way. He also wouldn't protest Judaism because they killed him. Some people give Christianity a bad name, when a lot of good ones accept and love all people, even if they would like to "help and change" some. Obviously these people think they are gods, because they think everything they do and everything they believe is perfect.

I didn't realize the Phelps family was so bad. I avoid any and all coverage about them since I can't even hear about James Dobson without freaking out.

Do you really think that children are capable of really making a choice such as this at such a young age. I do plan to let my own children choose their religion though.

Word, me too. It's pretty cool cuz I believe in God and my girlfriend doesn't.

I abhor Fred Phelps and his entourage of so called 'Christians'.
Every American - who is not related to Phelps in some way - knows that these people are not Christians, indeed, they have no idea what it means to be a Christian.

I believe there should be laws in place to prevent them from picketing the funerals of soldiers - I cannot believe they are able to disrupt such a somber occasion - let alone get away with it.

What bothers me most, though, is the fact that these people use their children as virtual pawns. Children - which I presume are the chilren of Shirley Phelps - Roper - are given banners with such slogans as 'God Hates Fags' and 'Thank God For AIDS' and 'God Hates The United States'. These children don't understand what a homosexual is, nor do they have a clue about HIV/AIDS. Phelps is indoctrinating hatred into these children, hatred against homosexuals, and hatred against their own birth country.
How they are permitted by law to get away with such blatent child abuse is beyond me.

That's what he meant, not at the age of two, because that IS a little young to be picking a religion. Still, how can you say you really believe in something if you were not raised to believe in it?
