its not even technically a war, get your facts straight...its a military conflict, Congress never declared war, Bush just went ahead and did it

so i stand by my statement that its a "fake war" because fighting a "war" against terrorism is impossible, especially when the most ruthless terrorists are behind it, so im sorry if i offended YOU, i never once mentioned the soldiers...i have nothing but respect for those people and what they do, its people like you who put words into other peoples mouths who cause that kind of conflict

but i also don't blame the Iraqi people for fighting back, because i know if some country came into my neighborhood and took over, i'd be rising up in arms too, you have to look at the full picture, our presence there is unnecessary

A "war" against terrorism is impossible- true. Why? Because terrorism and freedom fighter are merely different sides of a fence.

Let's look at Iraq. Its a nation. Two parties are fighting by land. It is a conflict carried by force of arms. Iraq is a bloody war zone. Do you know why? Because there is a WAR going on over there. A "fake war" implies that a war does not exist. You go tell the arm forces that the war in Iraqi is a fake war. Do tell me what happens.

Well this is a war, but there is not many people that died in this war compared to othber ones, so I think it is a small, political war. not a fighting kinda war.

This war has not killed more people than WWII. What are you smoking? WWII millions of people died. Iraq less than 1million people have died so far. Iraq is not a Holocaust. The Holocaust was a genocide. Darfur is a genocide. Darfur is like the Holocaust. Iraq is a nation plunged into perpetual war thanks to the USA. Vietnam was a nation thrown into a seemingly endless war thanks to the USA. Iraq is like Vietnam. Both wars were mistakes. Both wars were about saving face. Both wars cost to much money and more imporantantly too much blood. Do NOT mislabel Iraq as a genocide.

you're right, holocaust is too heavy of a word for the situation, and it is more comparable to Vietnam...and i guess i was wrong with my numbers...i thought i'd heard that on the news before but apparently i was wrong, thats what you get for saying things without fact checking

It may be a longer war, but it isn't a "hands on war". There are barely any deaths compared to WWI and II, and Vietnam, there may be quite a few enemies killed but as for our troops. Not many died, compared to the previous wars.
