To be fair, drinking in moderation has been proven to actually be healthy in certain instances (I heard Guiness helps with Blood Pressure and everyone knows about a glass a wine a day).

Where would the males in our population be without sex? Without all the unreleased testosterone and the rest of the hormones, you'd go crazy. And your hand can only go so far...

It's true. Cigarette's really have no benefits. You could say in moderation it probably won't do nothing to you in the long run, since your inhaling toxins everyday of your life no matter what. The point is, addiction kicks in and you begin smoking more than just one a day.

I'm a smoker and I acknowledge it. It does calm me down and I do enjoy them. I often think about quitting, but honestly, there's no point in trying to quit if you don't want to. It won't work, no matter how you look at it. You must want to quit before you actually try.

I'm sure you know this already but people say smoking calms them down for 2 reason. First, they are physically addicted and need it to mantain the same level of "happiness."
It's also a bit of a placebo effect. People think it will calm them down so it does.

I couldn't care less whether people smoke, just keep in their highly ventilated and filtered homes as well as away from children.

The problem here is, smoking is necessarily not good for you, whereas sex is necessarily neither good or bad for you. You're comparing apples and pears here.

It should be banned in public places as it is very much un-hygenic and cause many diseases

I have mixed emotions about this, because I really dont care if you smoke in public, but I am so tired of picking up fucking cigarette butts in my yard, and then I see some lady smoking with her kid in the backseat, so I think well, maybe cigarettes should be like any other drug, you should be allowed to do it in the privacy of your own home, but not in public, and certainly not around children.

People cant smoke marijuana in public, and if it were legal to Im sure there would be quite a few proud potheads lighting up in public just because they can.

I find cigarette butts on the beach, its disgusting. I was swimming today and a cigarette butt floated by me.

The world is not your personal ash tray.

Yeah. Same with beer bottles, random articles of clothing, and entire couches/cars/sets of old computers. Don't just dump them out on the street.

Of course, no one at PTF would
ever do that anyway.

I think it's a bit of a toss up, the non-smokers should be protected from second-hand smoke. But it is a bit unfair to the owners of the establishments to not have control over this. I think I probably come down a bit more on the side of protecting the public health.
