From my personal standpoint (son of a family of smokers), of course, I think it should be banned from
inside public buildings. Having "two rooms" (one smoking and the other non) is rather ridiculous seeing as (and hoping) there is an A/C system. But also, smoking is indeed just another bad habit and I feel that if you really NEED that nicotine oh so bad, then going outside is what you need to do. I mean, lets say masturbation was your habit ... most people GO somewhere to do so, not just right in the middle of the store. Bad example, I know. But
you have to give up something to get something.
As far as the government is concerned, I will never vouch or attempt to try and justify anything they think is a "good law" or "helping the people", because they don't want to help anyone but, of course you guessed it, themselves.
This can be somewhat analogized the same as with The People vs. Larry Flint, you know, if you
want to smoke, then go outside ... or don't smoke? Now if I WAS a smoker I can see how this is mildy inconvenient and not to knock these types of people, but if you're too lazy to understand & realize that smoking is bad for you and me ... then I guess (now this is a longshot) that you're too lazy to give a shit where you exhale that last puff?
My first real post. Hi my name is xtel, I'll be here all day.
