Well, it seems really simple. If two teenage friends ( one male and female) love each other so much, trust each other and feel comfortable with each other, and are at least somewhat attracted to each other, should they be punished by law for engaging in sexual intercourse? Probably not. So why should the inclusion of money being transferred make it, therefore, more wrong than without the money?

Either you regulate all non-marrital sex or you don't. And since there is no justifiable means for regulating it in the first place, you shouldn't do it. Therefore prostitution should not be illegal, and thus legal.

Yeah I don't get the laws on underage sex. I can see if one person is an adult and the other a child, but with two consenting underagers I don't see how you can just penalize both of them.

funny thing is it isn't usually female that gets penalized the male of the situation is usually the one that has statutory rape charges pressed on him.

That's what bothers me about it. Leave them alone or throw 'em both in jail (preferably the former). Damn law. What made it rape?

Anyway, prostitution shouldn't really be illegal I guess but there should be some controlled rings for it just for safety and ease of use.

even if the female concents... if she is underage, i guess you have to okay it with her parents first lol. otherwise its rape. cause apparently a human being can't make up their own mind until 18.

You're not a person until you are 18. Oddly enough, then they stop caring if you have enough to eat or if you have a home. This deserves it's own thread (age of consent/age of adulthood and all that)!

Maybe make it legal, but both the prostitute and the person paying him/her must have updated legal medical documents proving that they are perfectly healthy without disease.

That would be ideal but I don't know how realistic that really is. Perhaps by the time its possible to legal sex for money, attitudes will have changed a bit.
