| Pay-what-you-like Restaurants - Budget Travel restaurants were you pay for what you think the food is worth... sounds like a business plan that would break the bank to me... but at the same time... from reading the article it would seem as though most people are overpaying because they don't want to appear cheap.. and others are taking full advantage... hrm... how does this make you feel? would you eat at a restaurant like this? do you feel you would overpay or underpay? some of the people were even paying for a week in advance... would you consider doing something like there or would you feel obligated to pay again when you left? How awesome is this? It's funny that the first word is Radiohead because that's what I thought. Radiohead is such a big band that it was perfect for them to do what they did with In Rainbows. Maybe we're giving them too much credit (or maybe not enough) but they've really pushed along a worthwhile cause. I'm not perfect and I do eat at some pretty bad chains (McDonalds) on occasion but if these Pay-What-You-Like Restaurants are independent I would be all over them all the time. We need to support things like this. Of course you have assholes who take advantage but that's because as a whole, we're not ready for massive change like this. And with restaurants like this, you won't get fucked out of your money anymore. Of course, it's pretty complicated for the people running it, but kudos to them. ![]() "Don't vote, it only encourages them." |
