Default Kid-free zones?

Should people be able to bring their kids everywhere or should there be child free hours at the grocery store, movies, restaurants, etc.?

While I'd be all for it, I don't think you can say that about places like grocery stories and restaurants. Maybe you can pass with the movie theaters or perhaps concerts or something like that, but as far as just normal everyday places, you can't prohibit people from bringing they're children. The only places I could see rules like that applying are places more intended for adults, which are mostly already 18+ anyway.

Nah. Children are people too, despite being immature and often-times annoying. Grocery stores? Of course not. Mothers do a lot of shopping with their children in tow, and it would probably decrease business for them to ban children during certain hours. Besides, how much of a problem are children there? Sure, they can cry and scream, but then it is up to the workers to ask the parent(s) to leave for the consideration of the other shoppers. Your store, your rules. Restaurants? Maybe have a family section and an age 10+ section. I think at 10, you're less likely to poop your pants and burst out crying. 18+ suggests that until you are legally able to fight in wars and smoke, you are too immature to handle sitting and eating without bothering people. Actually, I've known of places who won't sell anyone at a table alcohol if there are any underage people there. Is there a smiley here for head up ass?...Okay there isn't. so I'll just use this:

Theaters? Maybe 18+ showings on certain movies if you would rather not have kids talking, crying, or opening up snacks really loudly throughout the whole movie. R rated moves are obviously not for kids anyway.

Er...in conclusion, no. I don't particulalry like the idea of discriminating based on age any more than having whites only buildings, although for the convenience of older people, some places can offer alternatives that do not involve children.

That's your opinion and you are welcome to it but it doesn't answer the question, do you want bans on children in movies, grocery stores, etc?

Of course it is. Puppies are another matter however.
