Love of course can exist without sex and vice-versa.

In my personal view on sex I try to acknowledge both the romantic and physical pleasure aspects of it. I think that a balance between the two should try to be achieved. I hope that my girlfriend and I do well with this balance though I know our experimentation hasn't always gone as planned.

well I wont agree with this one, I think sex is lot more than just a reporductive function. perhaps if you read books on tantra and all you can come to know this.

Well I suppose that at it's most basic definition sex is only a reproductive situation. But pretty much every human culture and individually pretty much all humans place more importance on it than that.

Sex, I think, is a part of love. I think that when you really love somebody, and I'm not talking about boyfriend/girlfriend kissing and hugging, then you might be ready. But you should love them enough to not desert the girl if she gets pregnant, and to stick with your partner if they get an STD. I think that it is, kind of, part of love.

I agree with you, to tell the truth, to me sex is a part of love, and to me sex is beautiful but I don't know why people go on condemning it, especially in countries like India. I really don't know how can you love someone without having sex, don't include your love for your mother and stuff, its a totally different feel. Sex and Love are two different things. You can love without sex, and you can have sex without love. But they also greatly influence the other. If you have sex with a boyfriend/girlfriend, it can change your relationship completely, for the better or the worse.
