Since AJ closed the other thread about CA because it was "ridiculous", I'm starting a new one. What does equal marriage rights mean to you? Should we separate being legally and religiously married?

Haha, I was about to make a thread. Good thing I decided to check out the other new posts first.

I'd like to comment on the last thing he said to me, "No, being straight in itself is not a sin. And technically homosexuality in itself it not a sin either. It's the lustful thoughts or actions that make it a sin."
What classifies as lustful?

I'm too lazy to look up the dictionary definition but I typically use it as a sexual desire for someone. Lust is a good thing regardless of the sex or number of people its directed at, life would be seriously sucky with it.

Right, that's how I'd classify it too but I wanna know how AJ defines it.

What about marriage rights for multiple partners? It's quite clear to me that refusing polygamous people the right to marry multiple people is unconstitutional but how does everyone else feel? I've heard some people say that it's too complicated to make legal so they should have to sort out contractual things by themselves. Is that discrimination? Separate but equal?

Not part of this discussion, but, I believe aj closed the thread, not becuase it was ridiclous, but because he could not change other peoples opionions, which is wrong, because everyone is entitled to an opioion, thats what makes them independant, and i just believe aj was getting frusterated, which he has done before (in the abortion thread) gets terrible angry when he can not change what other people think. Whcih i think is a good thing for people to have there own beliefs.

Ridiculous was his wording. I agree with you that he closed it because he couldn't get anyone to change their minds.

Yeah it was pretty obvious.

Nice work for being the first to blatantly say it, Brandonmanman.

I think if grown men and young boys would like to get married they should have the right too.

How are you defining young? Legally consenting adults should have the right to marry other legally consenting adults. When you say young boy, i think of people younger than 18
