On the issue though I think that the doctors should be obligated to take the high road and treat the patient.

Looks normal to me. I'd be uncomfortable in a world where doctors sworn to do all in their power to save lives would have to debate with themselves whether or not to let someone die. On one hand, you show superiority, and on the other hand you show bitterness. But to tell you the truth, if they didn't save him, that'd be worse.
