Back to the topic at hand: what do you think about commercialism? I swear...the only way to get more than 4 or 5 people involved is to start gossiping about a friggen lizard.

well obviously that shows you how woven in commercialism is to our everyday lives, its second nature, no one's really too bothered by it because its just a minor inconvenience, but really its attached to a whole nother level of problems

Well as you know commercials pay the bills for these programs.
What bothers me on television is watching a program(the five comercials has just ended) for a minute and behold,an advertising banner runs acrossed the bottom. Some will pop up.Some will come out of those four corners.

They are distracting for a purpose of selling their wares. They interfere with scenes(oh...what did I miss? shucks...I missed it.What happened ?)Now why wouldn't they put those commercials where they belong? I saw a movie where one of the main characters was dying.During this sad scene a banner ran acrossed of a upcoming comedy show. The comedian walked halfway, stopped, looked at the scene, made a slapped-stick gesture towards the movie and continued acrossed the bottom of the screen. This banner kept appearing every five seconds after the commercials were over. This was happening during the movie. My point is to have some control instead of putting these banners on automatic.I though it was in very bad tastes for a banner to show during this scene.
This is the only pet peeve I have on commercialism
