Default bare-bottom prom invite!

School: Bare-bottom prom invite went too far - USATODAY.com

what do you think about this?

i found it to be a quite interesting way to invite a girl to prom.

a lady i work with told me that her son got expelled for mooning his class and he ended up having to get his g.e.d. because he couldn't get a ride to another school to far away...

Not if you want to be a cop. There are other jobs that require a diploma as well.

you can become a cop with a ged its equivalent to a diploma. your at a disadvantage though cause most would perfer there officers to at least have a 2 year degree in a related field... you can still go to college with a ged. you can still be a police officer with a ged as well.

Not in this state you can't. My brother in law wants to be a cop but can't because he got expelled and has to get a ged instead. I'm not saying all jobs need a diploma but there are some.

The GED is sometimes referred to as a "General Equivalency Diploma" or "General Education(al) Diploma," although these expansions are not recognized by the American Council on Education, which developed the most widely used GED test. Jurisdictions award a "Certificate of General Educational Development" or similarly titled credential to persons who meet the passing score requirements.

its still a diploma. and if a job will not take you because all you have is a ged, their are various other internet site that you can have a highschool diploma sent to you thats valid given a ged diploma shown.

hmmm i take that back. I was misinformed by my cop boyfriend. He meant to say that the air force requires the diploma and won't accept ged.

ETA I take that back as well. It is theoretically possible to join the airforce without a hs diploma, just very unlikely. I should know better than to take the word of a man who rarely bothers to check his sources
