yeah, a fetus is already alive, it has life. as soon as the egg meets the sperm, life begins. i am trying to much to get pregnant and i feel bad that some people can easily resort to abortion. sorry...

I'm sure it isn't easy, grisly as it sounds to make that decision.

I don't have an opinion that would apply to this in general. Myself if I was ever going to be a daddy. I would never ever think of ever getting the baby aborted. I feel it's like killing someone.

That counts as an opinion. Well, at least a personal stance, if not a full view on teh matter.

do i believe abortion is okay, no not at all.
need proof, my wife and i before we got married she got pregnant, so im a hypocrite for saying just wait.. but i honestly believe i should have but i didn't. anyways, she was going through a rough pregnancy and 3 months in she started to miscarry... she started bleeding took her to the hospital she was in severe pain... suddenly the doc comes in and says that we have a choice to make... if the baby doesn't pass in the next little bit we need to decide if we want to keep on with little hope or have them do a dnc and take care of it... i saw this as abortion and i told my wife that i could not make a decision like that. and that i refused to... the baby eventually passed and we never had to make that choice but it was a hard thing for me to have to even concider. I had heard its heart beat at just over a month old... it was a life to me my child.

so you ask why am i pro choice then... well i believe under certian circumstances abortion is okay...

example: a woman is raped and she ends up pregnant. i believe it is okay for the mother to abort in this situation...

why? well because you wouldn't want to see your attackers face years later in a child, it could cause all sorts of disasters the mother killing her child, or vice versa the child has the genes to rape in their system maybe they rape her when they get old or someone else for that matter, not that its proven to be passed on in genes but a possibility still the same.

or maybe the mother will die if she has a child... if it wasn't for c sections i would have killed my mother coming out she was to narrow in the hips and it would have caused her alot of pain and ultimatley death to have me natural.

this is why i feel pro choice for GOOD REASONS. not because oh i had sex and i can't deal with the concequence to i'll kill it. thats wrong. if your man enough to pull it out and put it in, or you woman enough to spread your legs reguardless whether you use protection or not you should be man/woman enough to deal with the consequences.

Well, I like your position that you are pro choice but don't think it's right, but...I don't think rape is in your genes. The child would have to have a messed up mind, and a lot of that is its upbringing. But as I've said about five times, and will continue to say as needed, you can't say a fetus have human rights unless it was an accident. It would be torture for the woman to have such a child and be reminded of being raped, but there still is adoption, and that's really not as bad to me as knowing you ended your child's life.

Now if the baby is going to kill the mother, I don't know how you would know that before the actual birth. Then a C-section is a good solution (I think). But you can't tell someone they have made a bad choice and call them murderer if they have to choose between themselves and a baby that's not very well developed yet. They must already be under enough stress.

I don't know any pro choice people (including me) who think abortions are RIGHT. I agree I would never suggest my significant other get one, II would tell her to do what she think is right, whether or not I think it is. Hence PRO CHOICE, not pro death.

Exactly it. And I've said it in another thread. Pro-choice isn't pro-death.
