i don't even know really what to say... i know stuff like this goes on.... i've read a few books of ex public defenders and such... u'd be surprised how easy the legal system is to get around if you know the loop holes... its really sad the only system we have in place has such big holes in it.

They would have been able to say something to the governor if he'd been sentenced to death but since it was only a life sentence there was nothing they could do.

how do you tell a man thats been in jail for 25 years that were sorry we made a mistake your innocent at this point if i was that man i would have convinced myself that i did the crime... just to make my life seem worthy of being in a place like that. i'd be highly pissed off and sue if "they" 25 years later set me free... i'd also have to sue the 3 men that knew all along and did nothing. they could have done something even anonymously... something to help.

They couldn't do anything. Annonymous notes would have done no good at all. The jailed man can't sue because it was illegal for them to say what they knew. Considering the circumstances, they did what they could. It's more than most lawyers would do.

this is true... just sucks man there has to be some form of compensation for things like this... a man lost 25 years of his life... due to a faulty system and they are just gonna release him and expect him to go on like nothing happened?

If his innocence can be proved, I'm sure there will be some sort of compensation.
