Since I got a Mac, I haven't been to worried about viruses. And haven't had any problems so far!

Yeah, I have Windows Vista and it's been almost entirely resistant to viruses.

i don't run antivirus software, but if i do need it home.microtrend.com offers a free online virus, and avg friends of mine said are good...

i do run windows defender, but i rarely have issues with virus, and im a big torrent downloader but don't run into anything really.

just checked out the link above it appears they have removed the site... oh well. avg if i ever need one is what i would use... mcafee and norton are just not acceptable and hog to much memory.

I couldn't get WD to download. Every time I tried to verify my copy of windows, it went to a non existent page.

Yea, the utility thing to get the validation code works fine but when I copy and paste it and try to continue, the next page doesn't exist.

Safari has little expandability, poor compliance with web standards, and security flaws...thus I use Firefox 3.

well you can't really expect to update or check windows security with a browser that isn't through microsoft my vista machine doesn't use a internet browser to check for updates it has its own program but if you on xp i think it goes through a browser thus i'd use ie for the one time u need to update or download something.
