This is the thing. There are cops who honestly believe they're doing the right thing and while I do have a problem with all cops (as a job), I can understand those types. Some people do think that being a cop is gonna help.

And so much money is spent on tasers or just weapons in general when it could be used for other, more beneficial, things.

that has to be the worst but funniest video i have ever seen... its very similar to the black lady that got tased cause she refused to leave her vehicle when the officer asked her...

reason i say its the worst video cause the guy didn't actually catch much footage "back of peoples heads"

i personally think officers have the right to just walk around and tase anything or anyone they want, you do realize they themselves have to be tased before they can carry one, and they also have to be maced or peppersprayed before they can carry that as well... what i think funny is you don't have to be shot to carry a gun...

There is nothing wrong about using tasers.

I see in some public school systems,they are considering the use of tasers.



I believe it depends on how bad a city school is.

The student was a stubborn fool who refused to comply with the police simply because he was trying to "fight the power". If he had a problem with the way he was being treated he should have simply complied with the police officers and taken them to court/filed a complaint afterwards. When a police officer holds a taser at you and asks you to do something, then just do it. Don't sit there and refuse cooperation and then complain after they've zapped you like they threatened to. That's another thing; the student knew he was going to get tasered again if he didn't comply and get up. The police tried to pull him up but the student was dead weighing, deliberately refusing to be moved or taken.

The only problem I have with police and tasers is that they can never know if a person they plan to use it on has a heart condition or some other condition that would be made worse with a taser shock. Of course, if the police are sensible they'll first threaten to use it, then if provoked be forced to use it, so it wont be their fault.

All in all I have no problem with the way the police in that video behaved. They did their job, which was only made harder by a student refusing cooperation.

edit = oh, I do have a problem with the policeman that threatened the bystander when asked for his badge number. I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

"Don't tase me bro" I don't know if any of you know that quote but it makes me laugh.

Anyways, I think tasers are fine. No harm is really done by them and if you get tasered it's because you were being an idiot and deserved it. Two weeks ago I was at a Charger v Dolphin game and some guy was being a moron and the only way they got control of him was by tasering him.
