Haha, if you think that global warming is making you get less snow in the winter, you really need to think about that again. I mean, it's one degree C in the last CENTURY. There is no way that the temperature could affect the snowfall at wherever you live. If it did, you'd most certainly be dead.

It IS a scientifically proven fact that the activities of human beings are a major cause of global warming, pollution, and the contamination of the Earth.
This is an ignorant post. And your metaphors are lacking. It would be more like if someone sat on the hood of their car while it was running. It would be almost completely harmless.

No, its not scientifically proven. If it was, we wouldn't be having this debate. Most of the research you see, read, and hear, is propogated by lobbyists and environmental groups to convince the masses that industrial pollution is dangerous. This also creates a viable market for "green" products, so that people pay a lot more money for a similar product. Consider the price of "energy saving" lightbulbs over regular bulbs. Why on earth would they be more expensive if they conserve energy? In reality, they just cut down the voltage/wattage, so you often get a much duller bulb, though it uses less electricity.

Its one thing to say o.k., I dont care. I like driving my car and coal fired power plants and burning solid waste and the hundreds of other things we do that are harmful to ourselves and all life on this planet, its easier for me to not care and drill a hole in the ground and pump out oil and I care more about the economy and my own comfort than the environment, than my children and other animals. At least that would be honest, but to say or think that human activity on this planet does not contribute to global warming, pollution, and the contamination of the air, land, and sea, especially since the start of the industrial revolution in the 18th century......

.Thats ignorant.

It is a proven fact. It's observable, testable, and supported by evidence.

Have you never seen smog before?

O.k., I grew up in Atlanta, and it DID used to get 10 times colder and it would stay cold through the winter. The seasons are changing. Temperatures are changing.

Another very good example would be where I live now, In Florida. My family has lived here since 1944, and my greatgrandmother, who is 95, and my grandmother, can tell you that it used to rain here every afternoon. Every afternoon there would be a good shower or thunderstorm. Then the developers moved in and established a city and cut down all the trees and built houses and condominiums and roads, so now the hydroglogic cycle cant take place. There are not as many trees photosynthesizing, absorbing the heat from the sun. So that heat just radiates back out into the atmosphere, but it cant completely radiate back into space because of the blanket of greenhouse gases.

The Earth is changing because of us, because of what we are doing, myself included.

I'm going to reply to those comments in order:

I believe that plants absorb less than 1% of all the sun energy that falls onto the earth. I can't deny that we're doing some things that are pretty bad for the environment, but global warming isn't one of them.

I'd love to see some of that evidence.

I have seen smog. It is caused when the amount of gas in the atmosphere can't properly disperse due to 1. # of gaseous input 2. Air humidity
Notice you don't get smog in the winter.

I don't think you can accurately back that up. If it was 10x colder, you'd be dead.

Please throw more individualized, circumstantial evidence at us.

But that's a change we can believe in! Haha, jk.
