My mom's brother's mom, who isn't her mom, wants her to photograph an awards ceremony since the other photographer had to get surgery. So she bought a camera for it and is letting her keep it. It's a really long string of odd circumstances really.

yeah. Like I said, a really odd string of circumstances. And she got paid $700 for the job too. And I went along so I got my cut of $200

I've actually been trying to do some camera shopping lately. I wanted to get a graduation/anniversary present for my girlfriend to replace her old crappy camera. I've been trying to find a reasonably priced digital slr. Though if I fail on that front I might just go for a nice digital camera.
