It matters to them because they want to help save a living creature from a life of torment and abuse at the hands of pharmaceutical companies. In Austria, it is not illegal to experiment on animals, and this ape was minutes away from that life. If he was adopted, he could be taken care of and protected from such a life.

oh it is really pathetic to see those chimpanzees being killed because they are being use as an experiment. i have seen that on the television too. i was really shocked. well if you want to know my stand on this issue, i would say it will depend on the situation if i will agree to it or not. but most probably i will not agree to what they are doing. and they say that they are going to adopt to save them from those people who killed them well i don't know what they can do if the law don't permit them. in case the law permits them to adopt them then good.
