that is really true. i have known people who stopped their medication and now they are just getting worse without. well though we are talking about anti depressant, but actually they are being prescribed for those schizophrenic cases. and they are really needed or else they will get worse.

but sometimes the person's will to live a normal life will help more than taking medications.

I'm also not discrediting placebo treatment, I'm sure that helps a great deal of cases. I'm just saying that some cases aren't helped by it, and would require actual antidepressants.

well i am not really familiar with that placebo treatment. i have not heard of that one before. i am only familiar with medication and what they do cause i know many people who have been taking those medications. well they are really not normal when they stopped taking those drugs. they tend to be irritable when they don't have those medicines and their family have a hard time caring for them if they are not taking those medicines. some times giving them medication will help the family more than the person taking the medicines.

lol...a placebo is a sugar pill. it does absolutey nothing for you. scientists use it as a control in the experiment.

No, I'm not into that at all. I don't agree with it at all, either. I'm just saying...for these people who think they have diseases that they don't...it makes them feel better. And again, I don't agree with it. I think that they just need a good talking to.

Like I said, of course it will help the people who think drugs are their only hope, but for those who truly do have a chemical imbalance, an antidepressant may be needed.
