Default AMD Vs Intel

Do you think that AMD processors are better or Intel processors? Here, we aren't just talking about performance but quality, performance, price and everything. For me, I would choose AMD because it gives quite decent performance, maybe a little less than Intel but it is enough for normal users. The biggest advantage in AMD processors is that it is cheap, much cheaper when compared to Intel processors of same speed. I got myself 2.6 dual core AMD processor but if I had to go for Intel, I would not get more than 2.2 or 2.4.

I don't really know the difference.

I don't know from experience but I know that AMD outscored Intel in all of the tests that Cnet did

I prefer Intel. They seem to be a step ahead of AMD on the technologies and usually outscore AMD. You get what you pay for when it comes to processors.

I've got nothing against AMD. It's just that if you want proven performance and reliability, better to go with Intel. In other words, AMD = good, Intel = better. This is of course from my experience building PCs.

Hello,
I think that AMD is better than intel .
Why?
Because last year I had AMD ( I dont know exactly what version ) and right now I have Intel 2.80 GHz . And works very great & cool.

SO you have Intel now and you wish you had AMD still?

I prefer AMD, but right now out of all the pcs in my house i prefer the intel ones...simply cus there are two AMDs (2Ghz and 2.2Ghz) and all the intels all have higher clock speeds (2.13Ghz <<'tis dad's core 2 duo << andmy p4 htt 3.00GHz)

but overall theyre all about the same speed

I wanna get a Phenom though....
AMD FTW!
