Since 2002, we have been sending troops to the Middle East to fight a war on terrorism. The cause of this? The Twin Towers Attack on September 11, 2002. On that day, many, MANY tragic events occured. The dang PENTAGON was attacked! Ahem. People are frightened, or terrorized. President decides to fight a war on terrorism, many people support, believing that we may finally achieve a world of peace. Blah. 4 years later. The president was re-elected. The war continues. George Bush lost over half of his supporters. People were killed and people at home suffered the consequences of death. Even the economy suffered problems, and i shouldnt have to name them. We went to Iraq in search of Weapons of Mass Destruction. We seized Hussein. The war continues. Continues? Yes, we like fighting! Let's make Iraq a democracy now. yay! we did it! no wait, let's stay a little longer. Hmm, wtf happened there? We found Hussein right? Weapons of Mass Destruction? uh huh. Yea. Oh look, N. Korea is displaying their nuclear bombing tests. how nice. Oh shoot, those are WEAPONS OF GODDARN MASS DESTRUCTION! Funny isnt it? We want to fight terrorism, we go to it's doorstep, and we take a small part of it out. We walked to the doorstep, but apparently they were testing weapons in the backyard. Eh who cares about Mass Destruction, we want to make you a democracy. mmhmm. My point is this: we go to fight terrorism. We think we succeed. Will terrorism fall? What happened to the U.S. gov. when they found out about Nuclear bomb testing? i think they were terrified. They've lost so many people to fight it, but it actually showed itself to them. Think about it. Is fighting human nature worth it? Is it possible to have world peace? In my opinion, world peace is impossible. People will have pride and predjudice because they
can. There's a bunch of items on sale at a store that people are willing to kill people for. people threaten and bicker over the smallest things. Human nature, however, is a bigger thing. Some people even enjoy terrorizing. For what reasons, that eludes me. I'm just saddened to see that a lot of lives were spent in vain. Post opinions, if you'd like. I'm willing to debate and talk about this too.
