Dilated Peoples said "... plus George got a couple more years, that's a couple wars here and a couple wars there." Specifically, everybody is talking about the possibility of a strike on Iran. We've heard that "all options are on the table" including a nuclear attack on the uranium enriching plant under Natanz. ( This is unconscionable, and in all likelihood won't happen, but it makes for a good threat. )

The Economist:
“WE ARE not planning for a war with Iran.” So said Robert Gates, America's new defence secretary, on February 2nd. You cannot be much clearer than that. With a weak and isolated president, and an army bogged down in the misery of Iraq, the American Congress and people are hardly in fighting mood. Nonetheless, and despite Mr Gates's calming words, Iran and America are heading for a collision. Although the risk is hard to quantify, there exists a real possibility that George Bush will order a military strike on Iran some time before he leaves the White House two years from now.
Years ago, America lead the invasion of Iraq to force Saddam to let go of his weapons of mass destruction, which turned out not to exist. On the other hand, we're damn sure of Iran's nuclear ambitions; although Ahmadinejad insists Iran is only trying to build civilian power plants, he has refused offers by Europe and Russia to supply enriched fuel that would work in a power plant but not a bomb.
So ... do you think a war on Iran is likely? Do you think it's a good idea?
