I don't see why you're so defensive of Walmart if it's just a paycheck. Nobody here is even arguing that other companies aren't bad... it's like you're 5 steps behind the rest of us. Catch up foo! Let's allow this conversation to progress!

And I don't know what movie he's talking about either.

Back on topic... Whatever happened to separation of church and state?? No government endorsement of any religion. It seems a very simple concept to me. I mentioned to a friend last night that if the pledge of allegiance wont be erased from our laws, then it needs to be the original version. They were all over me for that. Apparently doesn't mean no government involvement in religion but leaving space for the god portion in the pledge. Silly me!!

Care to point out where you find separation of church and state in the constitution? Or anywhere else besides a letter which Thomas Jefferson wrote which people take way out of context? You know, this country was founded on Christian values and principals. Now that doesn't mean that you can't be Muslim, Jewish, or atheist...this country was also founded on freedom. Church and state were meant to be in harmony.

Basically he was saying that the government should have no say for or against religion. He said to let people be free to do what they want when it comes to religion. What we're doing today is trying to completely remove religion. See the difference?

I have no problem with religion. Okay not true. I have no problem with others believing whatever they want. But that line wasn't in there to begin with and it should go back to being that way.

Omission does not mean its against religion. Add the line for yourself if you want, say it out loud even.

I've never heard of it. Can we move on from wal-mart now?

How about the Bill of Rights, AJ? And I quote...

"Congress shall make no law (STATE) respecting an establishment of RELIGION, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of SPEECH, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The 1st Amendment.
