If you go to work for a Walmart, sure, it's just a job for you to get by (understandable) but ultimately you're hurting the world.

No stereotyping there at all.
I'm hurting the world by being on this computer and taking the bus and driving to Ikea and wearing non organic clothing and eating food i didn't grow myself. I forget what my point was....

Precisely. I'm hurting the world as well.

Capitalists are smart. I certainly dislike the system setup but they have certainly figured out how to sustain it.

Edit: knox, just stop, seriously. I already said that I picked Walmart because it's a popular example. Okay let's talk about how coke products were sold to nazis and now that brand is BACK.

i understand that... its the popular choice.. but its truly sad whenever i can't go anywhere without hearing walmart at least once... last night at dinner at wasabi... we almost made it all the way through dinner and the couple next to us says something about walmart nothing negative... but when you work for a company so large its hard to not hear it 50 billion times a day.

Wal-Mart is evil. A lot of corporations are evil, but Wal-Mart is just a master of turning a dollar. Yea, they're prices are so low cuz they use little Tibetan children to make they're clothes. But they also intentionally under staff themselves and guilt workers into working over time without properly reimbursing them for it. With that said, it is a job...and I work for a corporation too...it sucks. But, you can't just ignore the things they do because you don't wanna think about it. Join the dark side knox, become...negative...

Oh, and Wal-Mart kills all the other small businesses in the area, which kills small towns. There's a really good documentary about the Wal-Mart corporation, I could find it for you if you'd like...considering how much you love to hear about Wal-Mart lol.

Really, wal-mart is no worse than pharmaceutical companies, or any of the other evil corporations. They happen to be everywhere and that makes them a very easy target.

No worse then pharmaceutical companies? That's like comparing Satan to Lucifer.

They want to build a super highway from Texas to Michigan, connecting Mexico and Canada, just so they can get shit in cheaper (from Mexican ports) and move it faster all the way up through the heart land and into Canada. It's not all for Wal-Mart, but you'd be kidding yourself if you didn't think Wal-Mart wasn't going to greatly benefit from it.

I'm a conspiracy theorist...in my darkest views of the future, I see a world government with that damn smiling yellow face of Wal-Mart as the only available option for consumers.

Oh no i think they are all satan. Pharmaceutical companies could do so much for the world if they wanted but all they care about are their stupid pieces of green dyed wood pulp. Definitely not trying to negate Wal-marts evilness, just putting other corporations up there with them However anyone who uses child laborers or in any other way contributes negatively to the welfare of the world's childrend are going to the special hell.

lol.. i've seen that movie and they are all ex disgruntle employees that you could do from any company in the world fact of the matter is walmart is the worlds #1 retailer... so odviously anything the company does.. even if its just a few people or one store is going to be nationally publicized... but i garentee if you do a little digging you'll find just as many skeletons on a winn dixie grocery chain.
