I just don't understand how a healthcare system similar to Canada'a could look attractive to someone in the US. We should be learning from Canada's mistakes and Europe's mistakes as well, not trying to be more like them!

Everyone [legal citizens] in the United States of America can have healthcare with the current system!

When this country was founded, the idea was to provide the citizens with a few basic necessities: i.e. police, military, assistance to low income families, etc. Not to spoon-feed the nation. It just doesn't work and I don't understand how you think that it could ever work that way. Falls apart every time. Why aren't we learning from mistakes of other countries??

We should be more like them! We suck in more ways than I can possibly count. As far I am concerned, national health care is a necessity.
