Default America Banning guns?

Will America ever stop public ownership of guns?

What, in your opinion, would make this actually happen?

What if a whole school was gunned down?

Don't say it will never happen, that is NOT my question... i'm asking what WOULD make this happen?

yes i have heard so many incidences of school shooting by students. this is really horrible every time i hear one innocent looking teens shooting his fellow students or schoolmates. i think the american government should ban the owning of gun by individuals.

The only thing that would even POTENTIALLY lead to this happening would be for the government to re-write the Constitution (like that dumbfuck Huckabee suggests we do, but he just wants to persecute the gays) to strike null and void the Second Amendment. Because pro-gun lobbyists blanket themselves in the protection that amendment provides.

If that happened, the ownership of recreational firearms of any type could be legally criminalized, and we might not have shit like Columbine happening. I mean, it still would, in all likelihood, but it might be harder for it to happen.

The Second Amendment to the constitution is The Right to Bear Arms. By banning guns in the USA, it would be unconstitutional, which is what everyone doesnt want.

The Bill of Rights was not meant to be compromised, in my opinion. I support our right to have guns. Sure you can say that back then you needed guns for hunting and protection, but hell, why ban them now just because some people use them to kill?

What happened when we banned alcohol because some people misused it? Organized crime. At that point, only the people who were abusing alcohol could get it. They could, and the people who just drank a little, for lack of a better explanation, couldn't have any.

We ban guns, and they will be illegally trafficked to criminals and citizens could not enjoy having guns or use them to protect their homes.

Certainly school shootings are tragedies, but damn, not everyone wants to use guns for killing people. In the end it's the teens that do the shooting that kill people, not the guns. If not guns, then maybe they'll bring in homemade bombs and knives and chainsaws, who knows? Sure, they're less deadly, but a lot worse to be killed by.

Even though we cant have crack at school, doesnt mean that people still arent going to find ways to bring it in. same goes with guns.

To be fair to the opposite side of the argument, crack doesn't murder innocents.

When you ban something, you only take it away from the honest people. The people who use it illicitly will still find a way to get it.

Granted it would be harder to find guns, but yeah, I agree.
