i don't think good people will need gun if the bad people will not have access to gun themselves. Honest people don't need it.

The honest people would be the hunters and the gun collectors, and other people who just like to go to ranges. The bad people would be the gang members, bank robbers, and other various criminals who will find ways to get guns whether they are legal or not.

there are some other ways to protect ourselves from bad people. We just to stay away from places where there are lots of bad people around. And even though good people have guns that necessarily mean that they will be safe and will be able to protect themselves.

Self defense isn't exactly what I'm talking about. Millions of Americans go hunting and shooting in ranges. Millions more collect firearms. If guns were banned, it would take away a large part of their lives, as well as one of their Constitutional rights.

Trevor, the only people who don't want the Second Amendment stricken null and void are the gun-toting leftist lobbyists. The Second Amendment was written in the 1700s to help prevent the British from re-invading America. The British aren't coming back. Put down the M-16, Jimbo.

And we're not talking about SOME people using them. In 2001, twenty-one thousand gun related deaths (homocides, suicides, and accidental deaths) in the U.S. alone. And that's a CONSERVATIVE estimate. And yea, that's only ONE percent (not even one percent actually) of your country's population. But that's too many. That's an average of 400 people per state -- which in some states is a township. Gone. Every year, in every state. That's just too much.

what constitutional right that will be violated. i really think that the government can amend the law as they see it fit. i lobby for gunless society. hope that it will come true.

The 2nd Amendment, the right to bear arms. The only problem with a gunless society is, it will never happen. Even if guns are banned, people who want them WILL get them. It's the same way with illicit drugs. Banning them didn't do a thing

I still say that banning guns is a bad idea. Most gang members, especially young ones, but probably most of them, don't have a gun legally. They didn't buy it in a store and get a license. They got it illegally off of someone else selling or handing them out. Banning gun won't affect gang violence much.

People who say the second amendment should be taken out and guns banned will just be pissing off the gun-toting leftist lobbyists. Honest folk have no need for guns to kill people, but a lot of people enjoy collecting them and taking them out to ranges for fun. For sport. You ban guns, and even the gun related deaths that would be prevented just become knife related deaths or even bow related deaths if you're desperate, which you probably are in that situation.

Sure, the second amendment is useless in modern civilization, but if you really want to kill someone you'll find a way to either get a gun or kill the victim in some other manner.
