What do you mean, the alien would have to be smart to fool all these people who at the time were looking for answers and would be quick to embrace the idea of an afterlife? I'm not saying that's what happened, but Hinduism and Islam have a huge following. I also have a deep respect for Buddhism. No god, really, at least not in the original concept, just you're own path to happiness and Nirvana through peace and being satisfied with what you have. I'm a little disappointed at how once I have something, the next stage of my life is to get the next thing. Buddhism isn't for me, though. I don't think I could just change and be happy with what I have and meditate and whatnot.

I really don't care what religion has to say on anything. some religion say do one thing and that would be totally opposite in another religion. so if you keep listening to them there is a possibility that you may go mad. lol.

Edit: I just checked out a somewhat relevant link to the OMF site. It's for Chrisitan missionaries in Asia trying to convert people. Now, the weird thing I found with it was that the link I clicked took me to the Buddhists' page. There it described the beginnings of Buddhism and what they believe. The way I see it, Buddhism is one of the best religions going. It teaches you how to avoid suffering by not having greed, and also teaches having the right thoughts and actions to help achieve personal satisfaction. The page I read (this was before I knew the OMF was for missionaries in Asia) listed all of the information about it, then ended with that we should pray for Buddhists to see the light or something. The thing I don't get is...why do some people think that religions such as Buddhism are utterly false and wrong? Buddhism doesn't teach you to worship false gods or deny any other religion. They, in fact, see Jesus Christ as a spiritual leader much like Buddha, instead of as some sort of spreader of lies.

Yes, this is a relevant post. How are other religions not also paths to Heaven when they teach some of the same principles as the "right one" and encourage tolerance and such?

Religon doesn't have anything to do with religion. I agree with GreatDane. What he as said there is something not a lot of people would admitt and say it in public.
