Is it a sin to get angry?

well iin ithe bible. jesus turned over the tables on the church cause he was angry. if we do the same when we are angry. i know we are sinning.

i thought jesus was perfect and never sinned, was a sinless man... if thats the case your comment is contradictory.

He was a man, though, was he not? He felt anger, and maybe whatever that table turning deal was, was righteous or something like that. I know that comma doesn't belong there after the first "was" but I didn't want to just have two wases in a row and I couldn't think of a way to rephrase it.

The anger is all very well but it doesn't make sense to me that a sinless man can do something that would be called rage today and somehow it's magically okay because he did it. If you drop the idea that he was sinless and say that just a man it makes sense.

Well being a prophet, I suppose most see him as sinless. If he did it, and it would be a sin for us, he had a very good reason to do it. It couldn't just be that he was human, or at least half human. Maybe he just sinned a lot less than we do because he was like the original Christian.

I'll buy sinned less , i'll buy that he had a good reason but i'm missing how something can be a sin for us and not for him. it's the action thats a sin. Doesn't matter who is doing it or how good the reason. Violence is not a way to solve problems.

Yes there is a point at which violence is sometimes necessary but overturning a table over something that does not involve people abuse is no where near that point so I left it out of my statement.

There are other times I could argue that it solves problems but I wouldn't have my heart behind it so there's not much point.
