well just like me i don't go to church any more too. well it is really boring listening to the one in the pulpit. it is like more a routine than what it should really be.

I think it's just a matter of finding the right church. I wouldn't like the same thing every time, either. In fact, I used to belong to a church like that. But now I belong to an awesome church, and there is always something new. It's great. You should go church shopping.

On an unrelated note, made more so by the absence of Mr. Red's post, please tell me the vacation is permanent? After a while of reading his posts, I figured out he just came here to spam us more discreetly than other people might have.

It's one month...just to let him know that we're serious, but can still have forgiveness if he's willing to contribute.

used to go to church when i was younger, went to southern baptist church then we moved and we went to church whith my grandparents which was just baptist church... i like to go to church, but i often end up getting into arguements with people over my beliefs... i proclaim to be independent. i do believe in god, and i believe in needing to be saved to go to heaven... not going to get into that battle with anyone here about the right or wrong way to go to heaven etc...

i'd rather not go to church because i normally get into some sort of confrontation with the preacher or the likes...

this is because 9/10 times they try to tell you how to believe... the way i believe is that what you get from the bible when you read is is what was meant for you and you alone, now this doesn't mean that others cant interpret a verse the same just means that one verse could have multiple meaning for different people. so when the preachers says this is what this verse means i often say not for me... and that starts a discussion and then it usually gets very heated on their side and i end up walking out calm and collected but they are upset. so go figure... religious debates are just not good juju.

i just came across this quote and i found it humorous but true.

Emo Philips: ... I used to pray every night for a new bicycle ... then I realized the Lord doesn't work that way, so I just stole one and asked Him to forgive me ...

what do you think?

So, symbolically, we must take action to make life happen for ourselves instead of just praying and hoping that opportunity will come to us.

That might be deeper than it was originally intended, but I find it to be true.

You pray, and take action. God doesn't give things to you on a silver platter from the sky. He gives you the strength and wisdom to get the things you need (if it's His will).

God works in misterious ways though... if you pray for patients he doesn't just give you patients he puts you in situations that require patients...

i often see God as the devils advocate... in my mind he looks like the kid on the front of madd magazine... holding a magnifying glass over a ant hill...
