Default Foreclosures in U.S. are skyrocketing

What do you think about the rising U.S. home foreclosure rate? Economists estimate that 2.5 million homes will go into foreclosure this year, up 1 million from last year. What needs to be done?

I don't know what can be done, but I'm pretty sure my parents said they took up 2 pages of the newspaper yesterday...

Well, obviously something is wrong, if people can't afford housing in a country like America. I don't know what can be done, when you consider all the factors in the price of gas and food.

Maybe there should be a federal program like food stamps to help [working] people keep their houses, or at least people who are really trying to get a job.

The only way to help it is to find a stable alternative energy, and damn fast

I don't think the government wants us to do that, though.

That's right. We need alternative energy. Obama is against alternative energy, so pray that people make the right choice and elect McCain. America can't handle much more of this.

Well you know the government isn't going to support water-powered cars when the federal government taxes 12 cents on every gallon of gas and the state taxes a riduclous amount that can be 50 cents or more.

Yeah, though. Humans aren't that stupid. We can figure out an alternative energy. Let's say...a solar powered car that actaually got a lot of energy from the sun. The cars would cost a fortune but you'd never have to pay for energy.
