You look completely ordinary, and if you are male, you tend to look a little female. Lunchbox's brother, to tell you the truth the first time I saw him I thought he was his sister. There's also a sort-of-emo kid on my bus. He wears tight pants, usually green or purple, and black sweatshirts/shirts, and tends to have long black hair, sometimes with those blond streaks. He's not all boring and monotonous, though. Anyway, I suppose music plays a role. You tend to like the emo rock, with the singers who all sound the same, kind of slower verses and really fast, crash-symbol ridden choruses and songs about love and breaking up and getting back together. I don't mean to say that music is bad, that's just my musical analysis of it. Some also like those obscure metal bands, with the really heavy and fast stuff where you can't tell teh difference between each song, and some of them may have the singers who just growl everything, not like David Draiman or something but like you can't believe these people still have throats? That's not unique to emos, though, so that's not a classification. It also goes for punks and metalheads. Anyway, why do it? Why make out like life is this horrible thing and be all pale and anti-social and everything that stereotypes the group? Could it be that these people are different from everyone else, and decide to "be themselves" by conforming to a predetermined group? Do they just think the lifestyle is cool or relates to them? I don't understand it, and I wouldn't join it, and I don't accept it, but I'll tolerate it.
Also, that Uncyclopedia is friggen funny. |
not to mention that they think life is so horrible and not worth being around, its just purely negative. what truly saddens me is that most not all but most that i have come in contact with have parents who are on the richer side of things, the kids typically feel they have to play their life worth down to nearly scum. i find it hard to tolerate such actions. they want everyone to think they are suicidal but they are far from it... its like the guy from dead man on campus they probably are singing musicals when they are home alone in their room.
