the first link is a slide show explaining dark energy. the second is a little more on the subject, basically just concluding the whole presentation. very interesting.

i liked the video. they are so cool . i just wonder if we are still alive if that things happen. when that black energy will going to destroy the whole universe.

If and when it happens will be a long time from now no one for a long time will have to worry about it.

That is really scary... I mean even if you said that we do not have to worry about it, I can't stop thinking about what will really happen to the future generation.

it's just a different form of energy that we don't know or understand. All it's saying is that gravity is weakening as the universe spreads itself out so far and this new energy is keeping the movement going. It's not some evil murderous "dark" energy, thats just the name they gave it. No one really knows what it is yet.

And puterduder, how do you know that?

because it isn't like we are being affected by it right now, it can't just happen in like no time it all, it will take time.

how do you know you're not being effected by it right now? it will indeed take time, and time is one thing thats been going for a lot longer then you can comprehend, so how can you say what will happen and when?

Finally. We need some darkness. Nah only joking.

At least we don't know what it is or what it dose. That way we have nothing to be worried about.
