but i shop at Wal Mart because i really aint seen alot of Targets here in San Antonio. my college roomie worked at a Super Target.

when i walk into a Target i get the feeling that its a higher end Wal Mart. kinda like a Wal Mart but for the people who like to spend a lil more on pretty much the same exact things. i always get the feeling that it's empty though. not alot of products and way fewer people than Wal Mart.
your feelings are correct, i have family in san antonio...

Yes, a poll with 21 voters and just over half voting for Wal-Mart for sure proves that it's better. Glad we settled that debate.

I shop at Walmart Super Center for the selections and the supermarket.

I visited Target once.I joined some friends and we drove some miles to get there.Seems like this Target was way out!
The selections were there but not as many as Walmart.Seems Walmart stores are in good locations along main highways.

My choice is Walmart.

While I had to pick Target, since I work there, I don't see it surviving this economic crisis. Should this recession last more than five years or be so severe in those five years, Target will go bust.

I say this because Target has abandoned the marketing revolution it began. Wal-Mart used to do this thing called wave-zoning, which is where you have all the employees on the floor make everything look nice one area at a time. Wal-Mart has abandoned this because there was no customer service when everyone was wave-zoning. Target, on the other hand, had one person in each area. Not only was this more efficient, but customer service at Target was far greater.

The bosses in corporate, however, in their infinite wisdom, has despatched orders to each store to implement wave zoning, that which Wal-Mart gave up on because it was costing them customers. It's genius, really.

Now that Wal-Mart has everything, the prices, the locations, and now the service, the final nail in Target's coffin has been set into place.

There are plans to build a new Target store where I live.It will provide 200 jobs.

I hope Target does not change their minds due to economic reasons.
We had representatives from 84 Lumber. They simply said no.
We had reps from K-Mart.They were very interested.Unfortunetly at that time K-Mart filed for bankruptcy. So no K-Mart.
Walmart wanted to construct a super center. They wanted to take the entire four blocks.Walmart ran into two obsticles,McDonalds and a transmission center. So Walmart was out the door.
I hope this deal goes through for a new Target store. So far we have Walgreens and they are just about in every block lol.
