Nothing can ever be unnatural. I shall begin explaining this by using humans as an example. Humans naturally come into existence. Humans have evolved naturally and in accordance with nature. Our intelligence is a natural result of this process. Therefore, anything that we do must be natural because something natural cannot possibly do something unnatural. Even if we choose to do something that would appear "unnatural" it must be natural because it came as a result of our thoughts and intelligence which were naturally derived. Discuss. But to find the truth, we need imagination and skepticism both. We will not be afraid to speculate, but we will be careful to distinguish speculation from fact. The cosmos is full beyond measure of elegant truths; of exquisite interrelationships; of the awesome machinery of nature. |

It's natural to succeed. I see ourselves as humans trying to correct situations in the wrong...it's a natural human reaction. Using everyday common sense is is natural. Being positive is natural. I am (as well as you) is a natural. Who says milk is the only thing natural ? |

Damnit Kovich, it's unnatural for you to think this much. Humanity has developed to a level in which it decides or moral grounds what is naturally acceptable and what is unnatural. What people do not realise is, upon seeing natural human behaviour at this angle, they are in fact making decisions within their own intellectual power as to what is right and what is just plain wrong (like a 30 year old throwing a fit on an escalator for example). This decision making is perfectly natural. |

There is no supernatural or paranormal. There is only the natural, the normal and the things we don't understand yet. - Michael Shermer

| Synthetic materials come f om natural ones. Therefore, synthetic materials are still natural. What makes humans special that OUR actions and thoughts can be unnatural, when animals are always all natural. We made the concept up. ![]() Keep this in mind: whether it be a rock or a grain of sand, in water, they both sink. -Oldboy |

I completely agree with Butler. Why is it that when a bird uses sticks to build a house it's nature, but when humans build a house it's "industrial?" |

| Natural things have an effect of the environment, too, but we label the negative ones caused by humans as unnatural. ![]() Keep this in mind: whether it be a rock or a grain of sand, in water, they both sink. -Oldboy |

lets bring another label into this with Artificial. I think many people confuse unnatural and artificial. Artificial means anything that Man has made or brought into existence through the clever uses of Applied science. Unnatural would probably be more of a perceived thing. To others I might be unnatural because of how I act or my preference to working on a computer rather then playing outside in humid weather during the summer. even though It's perfectly natural to me. |
