Lol, i figured. I found this in a manga, so I know for a fact that i wouldn't know the answer unless i read about it.

10 stones.

Its a shape, and there are 4 stones in each row to create it.

Well, here's a huge hint: 5 of the stones are used in more than 1 row.

Nope. 10 stones, 4 in each row of the shape. With a triangle, you wouldn't have 4 in a row.
