PTF turns one!!!

PTF Members,

It has been one entire year today since the founding of the PTF online community on December 21st, 2006. Happy birthday PTF!

We have come a long way in one year, but not as far as I predicted we would be. We are very close to the 500 member mark! This is great, but it’s not nearly as many members as I thought we would have by this time. But it’s OK – we are slowly growing but steadily growing.

Thank you for your continued support and activity on PTF! We hope that there will be many more years to come on PTF.

Cool. I've been here since pretty near the beginning (December of '06, at any rate) and the forum has come very far. And with all of its success is all the sex and scandal you could ask for. Arcade cheating, racism, calling AJ a fascist...it's been good times. And now with changing themes for holidays, PTF Space, fantasy sports leagues, and whatever the hell else you got going on here, PTF's become a very different forum than when it first began. Not that anyone really cares about PTF Space. And of our 500 members, 10-15 actually post. And of those 10-15, about 5 post often.

Oh well. Happy birthday, PTF.

Change what? Do you mean have more people post actively? Not much you can do about that. People lose interest after a while and forget about PTF. The only way to increase frequent posting is to have more members.

Also, having 500 members means nothing when most of our members have 0-5 posts.

Well it kinda does, atleast they took the time to join, if you looked at gamespot I bet three forths of them don't even post either.

I know most forums have more members than not who don't post, but I really don't think we can pride ourselves on that 300 people took the time to join and never posted, or only posted once or twice. I'd rather have a forum with 15 active members than 15 active members and 485 nonposters. Of course, if everyone at least posted a few times a month, it would be a bit better, but they don't.
