Are the greatest band ever, in my opinion. Their new album, A BAND IN HOPE, just leaked. It is simply genius, and It is all I've listened to today. The real release date is March 18th and you should check it out. They are a great live band too.

I guess this thread should be used as a Matches appreciation and the spread of Matches related news and stuff.

My girlfriend loves them. I think Decomposer was great and I liked a few songs on E. Von Dahl Killed the Locals, so I'm pretty excited for this album. And I know she is too because after I read this thread last night (in which I thank you because you're the reason I know it's leaked), I said to her "The Matches leaked!" and she goes "REALLY!"

But yeah. They're good. Decomposer especially was pretty original, especially in the genre. There's so much energy in their cds but I'm not sure if I'll ever see them live. I never see any band live.

Oh yeah, well as much as Decomposer sounded nothing like E. Von Dahl, A Band In Hope sounds nothing like Decomposer. I like this one the most, I am only dissappointed there wasn't a heavier track like shoot me in the smile or lazier than furniture.

You really need to see them live, especially before they get big (if they do), cause they come up and talk to the crowd and sign stuff. half the time you just have to say one of their names and they'll come over and hold a conversation with you.
