Their new album is coming in like, September, and I just feel like talking about them.

There's so much negativity towards them and it's dumb because they are an amazing band. Yes, I said it, and when somebody inevitably disses them I will defend it haha.

i'll diss them just to see what you have to say next... slipknit is... s.t.u.pidly AWESOME! haha... dis that..!

My favorite thing to do is find people that say Slipknot is the darkest heaviest stuff ever and introduce them to black metal like mayhem and behemoth, death/black metal like dimmu borgir, and death metal like emperor and at the gates. open your eyes slipknot isnt metal!

And my favourite thing to do is tell people that I have heard all of that stuff. And I listen to some of it. And then I go onto argue with them with clear cut points and say that they aren't just metal because the dabble in other genres, and that people have really inconsistent arguments against them. And THEN I sit back and watch how TR00 METAL HEADS will never listen.

And they aren't nu-metal either, so don't go there. The only album that had a lot of that was their self titled and they've "grown" (even though that was a great album too)

Iowa in fact is one of the darkest albums I've ever heard (songs like Gently or Skin Ticket). I don't argue heaviest because it's a waste of time. What's heavy to you? Overly technical riffs?
How about the multi-layered drums of Slipknot? Oh but WAIT, "real metal heads" enjoy bands that just play blast beats all the time. Well Slipknot can do that too, and they have, but they don't rely on those just to be heavy.

Really, go on and throw any criticism at all at them and I'll probably laugh at you because I've heard them all.

What do they need 9 members for??? The masks are DUMB!!! THEY CAN'T PLAY THEIR INSTRUMENTS! THEY'RE TEEN ANGST/THE LYRICS ARE BAD (but then the person who says that will go listen to death metal)!! Joey's not as good as Slipknot fans think!!! Listen to real metal like Opeth, even though they haven't changed their style in years (having one album that's pure metal and then one that's the slower /acoustic parts doesn't count as evolving because they just split up what they already did anyways). How about In Flames (BUT THEY SOLD OUT when they made Soundtrack to Your Escape)!! OR MAYBE DARK TRANQUILITY! How about some Cannibal Corpse??? You like them cumming blood cuz I DO! Hey guys, how about some Burzum! Uh, Cryptopsy as well? Why don't you go listen to Mastodon (for the record I love them) or some nice Dream Theater!!! Or Entombed??? Hey, are we allowed to like Cradle of Filth or Children of Bodom anymore or is that day gone by? What about metalcore? Are we allowed to like Dillinger Escape Plan anymore?

Edit: And really, if you're gonna throw genres at me, wouldn't Dimmu be more symphonic black metal and not really death? Of course, I haven't heard their newer stuff, cuz I don't really care, so maybe their new stuff has more death metal influence. And wouldn't Emperor be black metal? Though they have expanded overtime to be more progressive.

I just hope he doesn't think he offended me or whatever. He's allowed to like what he likes and I like some of what he likes, but I've seen his attitude many times before and it just doesn't fly with me. I wouldn't be surprised if he just posted something like "lmao, you don't know ANYTHING about music. slipknot sucks. try these bands."

But of course he isn't gonna listen. It is a he right? Oh fuck it.
