Default Porcupine Tree

MySpace.com - Porcupine Tree - London, UK - Progressive / Ambient / Experimental - www.myspace.com/porcupinetree

Listen to Trains, first of all. The greatest song they've made.

They're a prog-metal band but they don't sound like the other prog-metal band I made a thread about yesterday. They've actually just gotten more into a metal sound with their album In Absentia in 2002. They have a lot of ambient parts in their song. They've also gone through stages in their musical progression. During the 90s they were more interested in making psychedelic music.

My favourite albums are In Absentia and Stupid Dream, for what it's worth. Their new album has a song called Anesthetize, which is 17 minutes of awesome.

Whether you like various forms of electronic music, metal, rock, psychedelia or easy listening music in general, there's something for you with Porcupine Tree.
