i love em, have 2 of their CDs in utero and Nevermind, i like their bass player and drummer and kurts voice is perfect for the style, but he isnt a very good guitar player, one of the reasons i like smashing pumkins the same as Nirvana, their guitar player is more skilled, in other news so do you believe Kurt commited suicide or do you think hewas killed

An interesting thing about Kurt's guitar playing is this:
He could apparently play things really well by ear, which counts for some kind of skill.
Also, his guitar fit the music. It was sloppy but energetic and emotional. It was punk.

Agreed on Kurts voice being perfect for the style. He just went up there and screamed and let his voice do whatever it had to do, it was raw. A lot of people diss his singing and sure, he's not good in the conventional sense but I'd rather listen to him sing than a lot of other singers.

As for whether or not he killed himself, I stopped caring about that long ago but I'd go with suicide. It's more fitting.

Haha, I saw a commercial the other day! Of course Courtney sold them out. There's major money to be made there and her life is probably still rocky.

Dave Grohl (drummer) has made a name for himself, which is good cuz hes very talented but was always overlooked because of kurt's genius, but he plays guitar and sings for Foo Fighters (a great band). I wish their bass player (krist) would do something cuz hes great but after nirvana he just hasnt been in any bands, i think that Dave Grohl is an incredibly talented person and deserved to be known more. Anyone else have opinions on Foo Fighters and Dave and Krist?

Krist was involved in a band called Eyes Adrift with Curt Kirkwood and the drummer for Sublime. But they broke up. I haven't heard them but I heard they were alright, they just failed commercially.
He's been heavily involved with politics mainly, though, creating JAMPAC. I know nothing about JAMPAC except that it's a political action committee. I don't know his stance on anything. But I'm assuming he's still anti-homophobe, anti-sexist, anti-racist, etc, like he was in Nirvana.

As for Foo Fighters, I think they're bland. At first it was okay but after so many albums of basically the same kind of music it's just not very exciting, even though Dave is a talented guy. But Everlong is a classic song.

yeah everlong is on the album i own it is good, i like them however i agree they are sorta repetitive but the songs are good and somewhat different. Have you ever seen that interview when (they all appear to be stoned) and krist starts going off on people on escalators. Its sorta funny but i see what hes saying.
