maudlin of the Well is one of my favourite bands ever. They aren't around anymore but they released a few albums (my favourite of which was 'Bath'). They were a highly original band, a prog-metal band that dabbled in indie-rock, quiet passages, doom metal, death metal and other genres. Amazing band.

Then they broke up and Toby Driver went on to form Kayo Dot, who still have metal in their songs but approach music in a more classical way. Still original.

Toby has also released a solo album called In The L...L...Library Loft, which I also like.

just not for me, we figured that from aim... i do like kayo dot better... hrm... i'll have to give them a second look and go from their... maybe a cd were i can hear it from beginning to end.
