Features : Immortal Technique: 3rd Eye Vision

Tomorrow Tech drops a new album, called "The 3rd World". I, for one, am pretty excited. It's been 4+ years since his last album, and even though this isn't the album I've been waiting for (Revolutionary Vol. 3), it is new original material. So, I'm interested to hear what he has to get off his chest. A lot of the criticism I hear about Tech is that his flow can be boring, which I suppose his voice can sound pretty monotone at times, but he's always speaking on some real shit, and that's the reason he's one of my favorite MC's in the game right now.

lol Yeah, I dig Immortal. I downloaded the leak of this... I haven't listened it yet.

I think he picks cool beats. They're pretty minimalistic but I like 'em. Dance with the Devil, for example.
I like his subject matter, but obviously some people will just call him a conspiracy theorist. That's not to say I agree with everything the guy says.
And I said this last time we had an IT thread, but he's always on the war path and sometimes he makes me laugh unintentionally because of it. Lines like LOCK AND LOAD before he raps is just the lamest thing ever, even if the song is good. Actually, the Point of No Return is pretty epic.

And isn't the new album called The Middle Passage?

Yea, I'm not sure. I think Revolutionary Vol. 3 and Middle Passage are two separate entities. And I believe, The Middle Passage is going to come before Vol. 3...but again, I'm not sure.

So I listened. I dunno, the 3rd World's okay I guess. Meh.

The first track, Death March, is AWESOME though.

I didn't like Death March so much...I mean, it was alright, but I didn't think it was AWESOME. What I did think was AWESOME was track 15...which I'm assuming is titled "Parole". (Listened to the album in my car so I don't actually know any track titles). But that shit was hot son! Way more gangsta then Jeezy could ever wish to be.

Overall, I enjoyed the album, and thought it was better then most mainstream shit. You can defiantly tell he's angry on this album though...even more so then usual.
