Just doesn't add much to the conversation. Maybe tell us why he's ew so we can have a proper discussion.

No offense taken. Taste is taste. You can't force someone to like a band. Arguing taste is crap.

But I can argue about his lyrics. He's not repetitive. He's rapped about a lot of different things but I don't really feel like making a list unless asked. As for his raps sounding the same, what? You mean he has a style? Are you a fan of rap because a lot of rappers "sound the same" on their albums.

I think you aren't judging him properly, cause I haven't noticed his beats sounding the same either.

Willy as I said stop bitching at me for criticising you, cause you criticise me all the time. I said what I said because as Tyler said it added nothing to the conversation. It wasn't constructive and it was mindless. When commenting on an artist you don't like (or even do like) you need to elaborate.

I can't say you aren't being constructive now because you sort of elaborated but damn.

I'd have to agree lol.

And the song he mentioned Mariah in is okay. Got an eastern beat.
Yeah, I've heard the song now. He does mention her a few times but it didn't seem like it warranted a thesis on feminism by Nick Cannon. Who would know more about feminism then a Gigolo, right?

edit: I wanted to just post a link to the site, but apparently, if you put a url with youtube on it, it automatically embeds it. My apologies.

Yo, bonus tracks, and both are good:
http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=46594

And you can purchase a bunch of shit:
Eminem : Exclusive Relapse Versions – Available Now!

I can't help but feel like if every song was like these we'd have a great Em album. Careful What You Wish For is a nice self aware song, and My Darling is intense. Fuck, My Darling has some great Slim Shady vs Marshall ideas in it (not that he hasn't done that before but wow), like the Shady voice and Em rapping at the same time, or the back and forth between them that kind of abandons the song altogether.

I'm gonna give a quick track run down, now that I've listened to Relapse a couple times.

Dr. West - Great skit. Always love his skits, as I've said before.

We Made You - Shit lyrics with a couple good lines, but a good beat and a great hook. His flow is on, for the most part.

3am - I can't help but feel this would be an AMAZING song had he lost the accent but you know what? Even the accent bothers me less on here because I like the beat and lyrics so much. It's kind of anger relief to me... a song about just murdering everyone at a Rehab Center. The video is also great. The chorus kind of rubs me the wrong way, the way he says "I must have killed dum, killed dum."

My Mom - I don't know, I don't think I like it. Chorus annoys me a bit.

Insane - I like that people will skip this song when they're bumpin' music in their cars because it'll make them feel awkward. I like that the song doesn't pull punches. It's also pretty intense. There's real emotion in there. A good, entertaining look at child rape/molestation in the form of an exaggerated story.

Baghpipes From Baghdad - It's an interesting beat for Em but I find a bunch of the lyrics pretty juvenile. Definitely not his finest lyrical accomplishment on here. It's like My Mom... it's just kind of there.

Hello - It's a good type of "I'm Back" song. I dig it but not a lot. Good flow but his voice, meh.

Tonya - Disturbing skit.

Same Song and Dance - Decent song, but his voice, agaaaaain. It's pretty manic, subject wise, as Eminem becomes... infatuated by a girl. And then it gets disturbing. It seems self aware though... I mean, the whole album he's been on a horrorcore trip, pretty much and now he's doing more murder/abuse and calling it the Same Song and Dance.

Medicine Ball - "Time for you to hate me again, gimme my pen" or whatever. Just a song in the vein of No Apologies, really, though No Apologies is tons better. Some good lyrics here.

Paul - "You know this Christopher Reeves shit. You know he's dead right?" hahaha

Stay Wide Awake - I really like this beat. I also like the lyrics. There's a lot of rape on this album, ha.

Old Time's Sake - It's okay, y'know. Skippable.

Must Be the Ganja - Not a fan. The lyrics, again, are generally on point but he's not really saying anything and it doesn't have a great beat or a great chorus.

Mr. Mathers - Another good skit. This album clearly follows a story for the most part, even if it's not every single song.

Deja Vu - Like it a lot. A really telling song about his drug addiction. Good track placement as well.

Beautiful - At first this song didn't reach the level of a When I'm Gone or his other sad/inspirational songs. But I've listened a bunch of times. It is sad, then inspirational during the chorus. It's a great song. "They can all get fucked, stay true to you."

Crack A Bottle - This song fucking sucks. It's a shame because the beat is a total I'M BACK song so you should feel pumped. But then you're being told to let your body woddle. No, thanks.

Steve Berman - "Look man, I apologize again..." "For shooting me!" It's about what you'd expect from another Berman skit.

Underground/Ken Kaniff - I still really like this song. It really says very little but it pumps you up and his lyrics are incredible with an incredible flow. It's good to top off this album and give way to Relapse 2.

I think this album is an interesting concept, in all, despite some below par songs. It keeps the drug/relapse/rehab concept going through the entire thing, with tons of drugs references (probably more than before). It's kind of like The Documentary by the Game, only where that album used name drops to build a backstory of sorts, Relapse uses drug references to really explain the extent of his problems.

Someone on another forum brought up a point that it's interesting how Slim and Marshall interact on this album. Em has always gone back and forth between the two, without telling you, but on this album Shady's really taking over. It's like, they're finally truly -- for lack of a better word -- intersecting. Even to the point of them rapping at the same time. Shady was always angry and funny at the same time but it's like you're seeing the real horror of Shady on here. It's less funny, more intimidating. It's all fun and games at first but you see the full extent of him here. "Slim Shady, this shit seems like a fable to me... til he jumps out of the fucking toilet when you're taking a pee," is probably one of my favourite lines on the whole album.
