Yep Hachet, Eminem, my "boy." Haha. Look, at least people on here have heard him and activity is pretty bad right now, so...
Back in the beginning of his mainstream success (Slim Shady LP/Marshall Mathers LP) he was a master satirist. You never knew when he was telling the truth or when he was being satiric. You didn't know when he was serious or joking. You didn't know when he was using jokes to be serious or vice versa. We didn't have his backstory that we do now, he was a mystery. He played more with personas/characters back then. The two albums mirrored each other.
The Eminem Show was kind of his reflection on the two previous albums. It's more anthem filled, really. Sheds light on some things. I don't have as much to say about this, even though this used to be my favourite album by him. I've moved on to the SS LP, since now I'm smart enough to appreciate it, haha. Still a fantastic album though.
He was one of the most gifted lyricists/MCs to hit rap/hip hop... ever. I'd say the best when he was in his prime but Hatchet will disagree, so will most of you I imagine. So whatever, **** you.
Encore doesn't exist, outside of a few songs. So yeah. Moving on....
I loved Eminem. He was my favourite rapper but the difference between the Eminem Show and Encore was massive and I have lost a bit of faith in the guy (Encore and songs like FACK, which is one of the worst rap songs ever).
He was my boyfriend, he actually wrote a song about me.
Edit: Infinite was pretty good too, but not fantastic. Oh well.
