Hello. Do you preform music?

I mean do you make beats? lyrics? Anything? I was just wondering if there are any members here who make music themselves.

I played the Piano for about 3 years, but other than that, no.

Do you still play?

I suppose I make music. I've tried drums, guitar and bass and I'm no good at any of them and don't have the patience to learn. However, the musical dream has not been abandoned.
I've created a satirical "metal" band that I use Fruity Loops and Reason to make songs for. Aside from that, I also use Fruity Loops to make music for whatever movie (don't get too excited, they're cheap) I'm making.

Unsurprisingly, I play bass. I'm still learning, and don't know too much about music theory and creating music, but I'm picking it up. I'm not taking any formal lessons, though. I'm just using various books and websites to learn stuff. I look forward to kicking ass on it.

I also own an acoustic guitar that I play a little sometimes, but I chiefly play bass lines on it since I don't know a lot of chords or the mechanics of playing guitar (chord progressions and being able to tell which string I'm playing since they're all so small and close and sound similar to me).

Unfortunately no. I was damn good at it too when I was younger. Being an immature child, I didn't have the patience or interest to practice and I always found my mother yelling at me to practice. I eventually just gave up on it altogether.

It's one of those things that you wish you didn't quit, because I'd probably be amazing after another 5 years of playing if my progression continued.

Man, someone post about playing drums (and even guitar too) and we could have a band.

Does rock band count? If so then I play drums, bass, and guitar, and sing a little bit.

It'd be interesting to see what it would actually sound like. The weird combination of instruments could be ... well interesting.

I play the saxophone in the school band, that count? I've played for like 3 years now I think.
